Abstract:
T he microst ructures and pro pert ies of 35CrNi3MoV steel for thick w all hig h pr essure vessel by quenching at dif ferent rates have been studied. The result s indicate that the martensite and bainite mix ed st ructures form at a quenching rate less than 1000 ℃/ h. Because a great quant ity of g ranular bainate and upper bainite form quasi-cleavage features and occur at the quenching rates 30 to 240 ℃/ h, the st rength and impact to ug hness decrease and the impact f ractur es at - 40 ℃. How ever , a small quant ity of low er bainate ( the r elat ive quant ity o f bainate less than 30 %) is formed at the quenching rates 380 to 1 000 ℃/ h that the yield st reng th and impact f ractures at - 40 ℃( dimple pat ter n) ar e impro ved. The effect s of microstr uctures on mechanical pro pert ies w ere also discussed.
