In this paper , the po sit io n of f ractal modeling in planar const ruction is introduced and the approach to 2D f ractal mo deling in CAID is presented. T he alg orithm fo r Lsy stems is described and the ex perimental result s under the enviro nment o f IBM PC/ AT - 486 and MS-WINDOWS 3. 1 are given. T his ex perimental result s show the metho d simulating natural formal pattern by iteract ive r ule is effect iv e. T he design system has the characterist ics o f goo d inter act iv e mode, high synthet ic speed, and st rong real ist ic sense.
