Abstract:
In this paper , the mirror ed orthographic representat ion is studied. T he backgro und of dr af t ing internal and internatio nal standards is int roduced. Its characterist ic is analy zed and it s applicat ion in engineering draw ing is presented. In direct project ion, the face of object that w ill be r epresented is alw ays situated direct ly tow ands the observ er , w hether in the first ang le project ion method , or in the third angle project ion method. The advantage o f mirr ored or thog raphic r epresentat ion is that the face of the object that w ill be represented is alway s situated w ith back tow ards the observer. In civil engineering , some special const ruct ion can be represented more clearly by mirr ored pro jection method.
