Abstract:
T his paper present s a Kro necker pr oduct technique used to invest igate the pr opo rt io nally damped discrete vibr ato ry sy stems’eigenvalues. Compared w ith Monte Carlo simulation, the pr opo sed method is more accurate, fast and w ithout a great deal o f iteratio ns. In the paper, application of the proposed method is demonstrated by single and twodegr ee-f reedom sy stems’computation. It is seen that the result s are in g ood ag reement w ith the r esult s yielded by Monte Carlo simulat ion. Final ly, the autho r analy ses the advantag es and disadvantag es of this metho d.
