Abstract:
It is an important inv estig ative field in ster eosis research that the rang e info rmat ion is recov ered f rom 2D imag es by using the binocular stereo vision. In a binocular stereo v ision system, the ster eo cor respo ndence is a key part . A stereo matching appro ach based o n edge feature is proposed in the paper. Under epipolar constraint and disparity co nt inuity co nstr aint , using the att ributes of location and dif ferent ial intensity as w ell as gr adient o rientation on edges, the procedure o f the stereo correspondence is fulf illed by the iterat ive oper ation. The 3D reconst ruction for the corr espondence r esult show s that the approach is ef ficient and feasible.
