Abstract:
In this paper, the modified perfectly matched layer ( MPML ) absorbing boundary condit io ns fo r the general anisot ro pic medium are der iv ed. Numerical result s confirm the validity of the method and show that the MPML is more ef ficient in absorbing evanescent modes in anisot ropic medium than the PML.
