Abstract:
T he element method is us ed to calculat e the phys ical paramet ers of complicated st ructures. T he st ructure is divided int o a series of st andard body element s and each element has itself local co-ordinate syst em. Aft er the physical parameters of every body element are calculated, according to the t ransforming relations betw een the t ot al co-ordinat e s ystem and the local coordinat e syst ems , the physical paramet ers of the st ructure are obtained by the recurrence formula. T he method has some advant ag es, such as good generality , simple programming and convenient applicability . T he physical parameters of the st ructure may be obtained by the designer in the blueprint ing s tage. T he comput ing program is compiled and successfully used t o the des ign of the new small arms.
