Abstract:
Aiming at the w ear characteris tics of pist on, cont ras t w ear tests were researched with three kinds of materials: common pist on mat erial ZL 109; inserted ring mat erial ( such as aust enitic nihard) and ZL 109 composit e reinforced with aluminosilicat e fiber at fiber content v f = 4. 5%. T he results show ed that , under conditions of elevated temperature, exces s load and high velocity respect ively, wearing against piston ring mat erial ( alloy nodular cast iron) , the w ear resistance of the composite was always superior t o that of the pist on mat erial ZL 109, and surpas sed the w earing qualit y of the inserted ring material under the condit ion of excess load .
