Abstract:
In this paper, the s tudy on classification of diamond powders was report ed. Study discovered the clas sification ef fect had great relation t o the dispersity of diamond pow ders . T he method of adding dispersion ag ent was used t o improve the dispersit y of diamond pow ders in water. Experimental results showed that the surface of diamond powders loaded with neg at ive charges and the compound surface modifier of BM and SDBS w ere added t o improve the dispersity of diamond powders in w at er. T hen classification of diamond pow ders was conduct ed in centrifugal f orce fields .Under specified ex periment al conditions, the coarse diamond part icle grades ( d50 = 1. 95 μm) and the f ine diamond part icle grades ( d50 = 0. 50 μm) approaching int ernational st andards could be separately got aft er being secondly and thirdly clas sif ied in centrifugal force fields by means of cont rolling rot at ional speed.
