Abstract:
In this paper, a kind of eight-no de rectang le plate element w ith the t ransverse shear deformat io n are constructed, which is const ructed by dif ferent reduced integ ratio n for the shear terms in tw o co ordinate ax es. Thro ug h the numerical evaluat ion, it demo nstr ates that tw o kinds of eig ht-node rectang le plate element can be used to calculate dif ferent thickness plate and shear locking do es not take place.
