Abstract:
In this paper, an adapt ive cont roller is presented for advanced stat ic v ar generator ( ASVG) , w hich utilizes a detuned minimum variance cont ro l st rateg y and uses a simplif ied parameter est imator st ructure for generat ing pulse-w idth cont rol angle to change AC vo ltag e of ASVG, thus it can change var pr ovided for the pow er system. The parameters of the co nt rol ler are adjusted by adaptive law according to the system state. The simulat ion result s show that it can improv e the t ransient stability and voltage stability of pow er systems effect ively.
