Abstract:
In this paper, according to the theory of the optical f ilm, the mechanism of Frustrated Total Internal Reflection w as analyzed. The t ransmission and ref lect ion function w ere developed. The curves of t ransmission and reflection changing from the relat ive g ap w idth d /λ , incident angle θ0, and ref ract ion index n were proposed. If the gap is increased f rom O to nearly a w avelength, the transmission decreases f rom 100 % to 0. And if the gap is a constant, larger incident ang le and index , the t ransmission w ill decrease. An experimental device w as performed to test the conclusion.
