Abstract:
The charge conf ig urat ion of a big caliber g un is composed of several modules, and the flow f ields are complicated. In this paper, the w ay of dividing and modeling burning area is provided, and the two-phase-flow interior ballistic model and numerical simulation for the launching process of the ex perimental g un are given. T he numerical results show that the theory accords w ell w ith ex perimental data in the bore pressure, and the velocity of project ile etc. , so both the prog ram and the model can be applied for the simulat ion of interior ballistic cycle and the safety analysis of the modular charge.
