Abstract:
The characterist ics of a project ile flow at transonic speeds are invest ig ated by a numerical method. The governing equat ions are the Rey nolds-averaged N- S equat ions, Baldw in- Lomax model is adopted for turbulence flow . The numerical scheme is fourth order MUSCL TVD scheme , and the characterist ics of a project ile flow is computed at Ma ∞= 0. 96. T he Mach contour , pressure contour , longitudinal surface pressure distribut ion, velocity vectors in the base reg ion are of fered. The result is in good agreement with the actual condition, and sast if ied w ith the requirements of project.
