Abstract:
This paper presents the characteristics of underw ater guncs firing techniques and analyzes the dif ference betw een the interior t rajectory of normal gun and that of underw ater g un. The brief models of underwater t rajectory are established by regarding bullet and w ater column in barrel w holly as a forceOacceptor, and the fundamental equat ions suitable for calculat ion of underw ater gun’s ballist ic character are also deduced. Numerical calculation of interior ballist ic character parameters is carried out on a typical rod type bullet by using singleObase pow der as propellant . Both theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the equat ions established in this paper are quite adaptable. Several problems that should be paid at tent ion to in underwater interior t rajectory design are also discussed by a large number of calculations combined w ith theoret ical analysis.
