Abstract:
The uniform design is a brand new method, especially suitable for multi-factor and mult i-level ex periments. It can reduce the amount of ex periments ef fectively. T his paper conducted uniform design of four factors and five levels in development of asbestos-f ree friction materials. The pseudo-level method w as employ ed and the influence of resin, f ibre Ⅰ , f ibre Ⅱand f rict ion adjuster on frict ion propert ies w as invest igated, w ith ex perimental samples being 10. The results show that the uniform design method could obv iously diminish the amount of experiments and had a good test ef ficiency. The developed f riction materials had good propert ies.
