Abstract:
The aerody namic characterist ic for the t riangular body missiles has been invest-i g ated chiefly by ex periments, whereas its theoret ical study is st ill not suff icient . In this paper, an analyt ical t ransformat ion funct ion f rom the cylindrical flow to the triangular f low has been const ructed. The formulae of the complex potent ial, the complex velocity , and the pressure coeff icient in the triangular flow are derived, and some typical expamples have also been g iven. U sing this transformat ion, the flow pattern, the velocity distribut ion and the pressure coeffi cient in the triangular flow can be given conveniently. The results are important for understanding triangular flow and for studing aerodynamic characterist ic of other noncircular body .
