Abstract:
Emphasizing practical solut ion methods for distributed-parameter systems and taking the advantage of the orthogonal property of the block-pulse sequences, this paper t ransforms an opt imal cont rol problem of a type of dist ributed-parameter system ( DPS) into a similar algebraic problem by chang ing approx imately the integ ral performance index of the opt imal cont rol of the systems into a corresponding algebraic form. A computat ion method based on 2-D block-pulse function sequences is presented in this paper. The proposed method simplif ies the procedure of solving opt imal control problems of DPS and the algorithm is convenient to perform.
