Abstract:
In v iew of the fact that frequency-shif t key ing ( FSK ) possesses great practical v alue and embodies some improvements, in the paper, a method to improve the traditionary FSK coherent modem in a colored Gaussian noise ( ACGN) channel condit ions is given by the use of bit error rate. The structure of a novel opt imal coherent modem is derived. The theoret ical ana-l ysis and computer simulat ion test are made. Those two obtained results show that the bit error property of the novel modem in addit ive colored Gaussian noise environment is the same as t radit ionary FSK coherent modem; In ACGN channel environment it s bit error property of the modem is bet ter than that of t radit ionary FSK coherent modem.
