Abstract:
T he purpose of studying controllability and observability for Flexible Manufacturing System ( FMS) is to control the start ing w ork t ime of part s so that the system operation process can be ef fect ively cont rolled. Aiming at a class of special FMS-----Flow-shop system, this paper discusses its cont rollability and observability , and present s a necessary and suf ficient condit ion for controllability and a suf ficient condit ion for observability. Furthermore, through the analysis of running behavior of controllable Flow-Shop system, this paper prov ides a suff-i cient condition for steady state operat ion. The above results present the theoretical bases for effect ively controlling the dynamic behavior of Flow-shop system.
