Abstract:
Gas eject ion from gun muzzle is a more complex unsteady process. The quas-i steady assumption was generally used in traditional theories for the gas eject ion period. Some of the theoret ical formulas have st range forms, and the physical meanings of these formulas are v ague. T he theory of the gas eject ion period is systemat ically studied in this paper. The quas-i steady assumption is abandoned, and the analy tical solut ion of g as momentum variat ion in bore is deduced. Based on st ricter deduction, a series of theoret ical formulas for the g as ejection per-i od w ith specific physical meanings are obtained, including the theoretical formulas for the breech force and some characterist ic parameters for the g as ejection period. T hese formulas have been used in pract ice and good accuracy w as shown.
