Abstract:
This paper simply describes the w orking principles and the process of the init ial driving device of the sel-f energizing gatling gun. A mathemat ical model for the init ial blank cart ridge driving process of the g at ling gun is presented based on the g as dy namics and the mechanical dynamics. The numerical simulat ion investigates the ef fects of the parameters of the init ial driving device and the parameters of the blank cartridge on the piston chamber pressure and piston velocity as well as receiver rotation speed. Calculat ion shows that the movement regulations of the piston velocity and displacement , the receiver rotation speed and rotation angle are well simulated.
