Abstract:
To set an example for the opt ic-f iber communication teaching, an opt ic-fiber bi- direct ional informat ion t ransmission system w ith bilateral power supply linkage cont rol function is developed. In this system, an opt ical fiber branching device is employed in each optical transceiver, w hich splits the received opt ical sig nal into tw o parts: 3/ 4 for pow er supplies linkage cont rol, 1/ 4 for ext ract ing v ideo and audio informat ion. When local or far-end equipment. s power is on or of f, another’ s is on or off automat ically , too. Here, local and far-end are exchangeable and equal.
