Abstract:
The g lass-electrode method ( GEM) evaluating the eff iciency of scale inhibitors by the changes of hydrogen ion in the test sample has been described. Compared w ith the classic methods such as the stat ic and the aerat ion method, the new method has many virtues. The standard relative deviat ion of GEM is only 50% that of the aeration. It w ill take only 30 minutes to finish relative to the over 6 hours of the aerat ion. With the very simple equipment , it is very easy to be operated, and the ex cellent accuracy can be achieved.
