Abstract:
Based on analysis of the finite element method( FEM) models exported f rom CAD software, a method for paramet rically establishing FEM models for sel-f propelled gun is presented in this paper. Data ex change is realized through modifying local node coordinate system. T he key problem of parametric modeling is presented. An exchange code is designed to be convenient ly used in dealing with various gun configurat ion and to avoid the repetit ion of the modeling processes for sel-f propelled gun. The feasibility of the method can be proved by the paramet ric FEM modeling for a sel-f propelled gun. T he proposed approach is of great importance to art illery engineering pract ice.
