Abstract:
The granule-cast ing process is applied to the shaping of elastomeric modif ied cast double base ( EMCDB) propellant that shows good mechanical propert ies and plateau burning effect . The characteristics of low burning rate-pressure ex ponent of smokeless EMCDB prope-l lant are analyzed. The effects of combust ion catalyst and NC content and RDX’s particle size on the pressure exponent are studied. It is concluded that the granule-cast ing process has advantages over silt-casting process for EMCDB propellant.
