Abstract:
Dynamic simulat ion for an automat ic mortar during f iring is studied in this paper. Based on the analysis of launching characterist ics, the mortar system can be simplified as a mult-i body system w ith three rigid bodies and one elast ic body. The dynamic model is set up. Some important factors are considered, w hich include variable mass of recoiling parts and coupling betw een mult-i body dynamic equations and interior ballist ic equat ions. The dynamic response of the system during continuous f iring is obtained from numerical calculat ion, w hich can g ive reference to structural desig n and pract ical operat ion of such kinds of system.
