Abstract:
Most load balancing algorithms in current cluster systems are designed for job level or process and thread level. Few of them are mult ilevel. The reason for this is to reduce the communicat ion overhead in load balancing procedure. A mult ilevel load balancing algorithm is presented based on job level and process level to reduce the communication overhead using the dynamic load collection technology of the adaptive mult ithresholds. Experiments show that the method using these algorithms can effect ively improve executive performance of the parallel job.
