Abstract:
This paper describes method to calculate the NATO meteorological layer-w eight , the approximate meteorological layer-w eight, and the accuracy meteorological layer-w eight . T he w ay to compute f iring elements accuracy by using these layer-w eights is accounted for. With an ex ample of a certain project ile, layer w eight values of w ind, air temperature and air density in each layer in the form of the three kinds of layer-w eights are calculated and compared. T he firing accuracy in dif ferent ground air temperature condit ions and in dif ferent init ial velocity and ballist ic coef ficient condit ions by using the three kinds of weight s has been considered. According to the calculat ing results, the firing accuracy is analyzed. And some suggest ions about the use of layerw eight are put forw ard for art illery meteorological preparat ion.
