Abstract:
T he implementat ion of informat ion system applications ( ISA ) is an important measure to improve the competit ive status of an enterprise. The paper presents an approach to evaluate the performance level of the ISA of an enterprise in the manufacturing industry. The approach gauges the competit ive priorities by using sixteen at t ributes. Applying the analyt ic h-i erarchy process, the w eight s of the at t ributes are determined from the characterist ics of the enterprise. Based on Literature researches, the approach est imates the cont ributions of each ISA to the at tributes of the competit ive priorit ies. The performance level of each ISA is determined based on the survey carried out in the enterprise considered. The w eighted sum of the performance levels is taken as the measure of the performance of the ISA of the enterprise. T he approach w as applied in tw o enterprises. The result s indicate that it is both feasible and ef ficient .
