Abstract:
Quant itative Raman spectra was employed to invest igate the concentrat ion of n-i t ronium ion in mix ing acid system and a triangular diagram w as made to denote the results, w hich w as used to study the materia-l int roduct ion mode in intermit tent nit rat ion operations. T he inf luence of various mode on nitronium concentration in the nit rat ion systems w as discussed. It w as found that dropping mix ing acid into aromatic substrate makes nit ronium concent rat ion change too much and dropping aromatic subst rate into mix ing acid may bring too much by-products. It w as suggested that nit ric and sulfuric acid should be int roduced separately. For reactive arenes, sulfuric acid should be used as solvent and nit ric acid is the dropping agent ; for unreactive arenes, nit ric acid should be used as solvent and sulfuric acid is the dropping agent.
