Abstract:
Many indust rial experiments based on T aguchics Robust desig n alw ays dealt w ith the opt imizat ion of a single performance quality characteristic before. But studies have show n that the opt imal factor set tings for one performance characterist ic are not enoug h. Many approaches for mult-i response opt imization design have been presented yet they are not always so g ood. In order to rect ify this problem, the author proposes an alternat ive approach using a powerful multivariate statist ical method called principal component analysis ( PCA) . The paper also presents a case to demonstrate the pract icability of this approach.
