Abstract:
T he damag e assessment equiv alence of special ammunit ion-target systems w as discussed. Based on the damage mechanism of armor targets impacted by kinet ic energy project iles, the method of selecting surrog ates for this typical ammunit ion-target system w as advanced. In combinat ion w ith a typical sample of tungsten alloy long-rod project iles impact ing on a certain type of tanks, target damage w as assessed by using equivalent surrogates. The results show that equivalence surrogate method for damage assessment is feasible. The research is referencial to studying the equivalent surrog ates and simulat ing targ ets.
