Abstract:
According to the characterist ics of the metal storm w eapon system, this paper takes a cart ridge as an ex ample to discuss the effect of such load conditions as pow der weig ht , the thickness of pow der g ranular, bullet mass and chamber volume on the interior ballist ics performances of the metal storm w eapon system. The results are as follow s: the maximum pressure and the muzzle velocity of bullet increase w hen the pow der w eight increases, the thickness of pow der granular decreases and the chamber volume decreases; w hen the bullet mass increases, the max imum pressure of propellant gas increases, but the muzzle velocity of bullet decreases. T hose regularit ies are of great importance for the study on the mechanism of interior ballist ics and the controll of the metal storm w eapon system.
