Abstract:
In order to improve the sw itching speed of an electro-hydraulic high-speed on-off v alve and the digital cont rol accuracy of the f luid pulse w idth modulation ( PWM) , this paper made some researches about using the rare-earth-alloy g iant magnetost rict ive as an actuator to drive the hy draulic on-off valve, and a kind of new high-speed on-off valve w ith a special st ructure w as made. T he results of simulat ion calculat ion and ex periment showed that the valve had very high sw itch speed and f requency, and it s on-of f t ime w as less than 1ms. T he cont rol accuracy of elect ro-hydraulic PWM can be much raised by using the high-speed on-off valve.
