This paper focuses on the problem of robust fault-tolerant cont rol for uncertain systems w ith time-delay. In the circumstances of the sensor failures or the actuator failures, on the basis of the linear mat rix inequality ( LMI) , the suff icient condit ions for the systems possessing integrity ag ainst the sensor failures or the actuator failures are given, and the design method of the cont roller is proposed. T his method can obtain the designed result of fault-tolerant controller by using the linear mat rix inequality , and avoids the iterative process of the methods in ex istence. An illust rat ive ex ample and some simulat ion results are given to demonstrate the ef fectiveness of the proposed method.
