This paper developed a numerical scheme to simulate the flow field generated by stator with tandem cascade. The finite volume approach and the Baldw in-Lomax turbulent model were applied to numerically solve the unsteady three-dimensional thin-layer Navier-Stokes equations. The flow field of the stator w ith tandem cascade of French Turmo- Óc small aero-engine w as analysed. At the half radius of tandem cascade, the boundary layer on the blade suct ion surface is very thin, and the wake is narrow . As the result of the disturbance of w ake from both the front and the rear row blade with end wall boundary layer, the wake near the casing and the hub is relatively wide. Test case is one stator w ith French ONERA plane tandem cascade. The calculated results agree w ell with experimental results, illustrating the capabilities of the method.
