Abstract:
Using 125 mL serum bott le as batch reactors, the COD removal efficiency, biomass product ion rate, methanogenic activity and supporting shock load of anaerobic granular sludge and digestion sludge were assayed under anaerobic and microaerobic condit ions. The results showed that both of the anaerobic granular sludge and digestion sludge had high COD removal efficiency, low biomass product ion rate, high methanogenic activity and bet ter supporting shock load under microaerobic conditions. Moreover, the anaerobic granular sludge had apparent advantage. The optimal supplement of ox ygen w as 10% of the adding COD.
