Abstract:
The PVA-bor ic acidmethod w as employed to produce immob ilized pellets. The optim ized cond it ions of phenolic degradation cou ld be ach ieved by the experiments on the activated immob ilized pe llets under different conditions. In the pellets, the activated sludge and the carriers, w hich w ere PVA ( po lyving l alcoho l) and active carbon, w erem ixed as the vo lume ratio o f 1:1, and the diameter o f the pe llets w as betw een 2mm and 4mm. When the so lid-liqu id ration w as 1:4, and the pheno l concentration w as 250mg /L, the degradation rate w as 99. 8% after 6 h by using the immob ilized pellets. The w astew ater reaches the Chinese national discharge standard.
