Abstract:
Second order p lus large dead time processes is common ly encountered in industry. It is qu ite diff icu lt to control them due to the large dead t ime. An in ternalmode l pred ictive control( IMPC ) system structure is adopted for them and a contro ller tuning m ethod is presented based on the ga in and phase marg in. D esign instances and simulat ion resu lts show that the system s designed w ith the proposedm ethod have good stab ility and robustness.
