Abstract:
Flow field photos are gained when inert gas is ventilated with three kinds of pressure, and the ratio of static pressure between the section of gas generator exit and surroundings are 1. 2, 2. 0 and 2. 5. Simultaneously, a modified high order MUSCI scheme was used to simulate the vent flow field.The simulated test result is consistent with the experimental result.The reasons of forming a shock-cell structure and changing the flow field pressure were analyzed with jet dynamics. The jet field is only a standing wave when the pressure ratio is 1. 2.As the ratio increases, shock waves appear in the jet field. Inert gas is enough under expanded when the ratio is 2. 5. Intensity and diameter of shock waves are enhanced. The results provide referencial images and data for exploring vent of flammable matter.
