Abstract:
The complex is synthesized from Cu 2+ and the sel-f made surfactant with the Schiff base structure in yield of 87. 6 %, and the stability constant of the complex is determined by spectrophotometric method to be 1. 91×108 in borax buffer solution at 25 ℃ .The ant ibacterial activity of the complex is also investigated by concentration dilution method. The experimental result reveals that the surfactant is easily coordinated with Cu 2+ to form a stable complex. The complex has certain ant ibacterial against tested bacteria: E. coli, S. aureus and B. subt ilis.
