Abstract:
The cumulative rod penetrat ing body is chiefly used to destroy the new kind of defending armor, concrete structure, armed helicopter, and the large surface vessel, and so on. The influence on formed mechanism of cumulative rod penetrating body by liner angle is studied. The relat ion of ratio of head velocity and tail velocity with liner angle and collapse angle is obtained through sharp-charge theory analysis. The relat ion is validated through observing the cumulative rod penetrating bodies which are formed in different liner configuration and their rupturing state when they fly long distance.The test indicates that the rat io of head velocity and tail velocity increases along with the collapse angle and liner angle, which is consistent with the theoretical analysis.
