Abstract:
To extract the 2-D capacitance distributed parameters of interconnects accurately and fast, a measured equat ion of invariance method is used to calculate the electric field of interconnects, and the effect of the aberration of conductor sizes on the parasitic extraction is discussed.The Lagrange expansion is applied to the voltage, and a novel method with non-uniform grids is proposed to complete the calculation of coefficients in the case of the aberration of conductor sizes. This method doesn. t need to change the scale of system of equations for the computat ion of electric field, so the computat ion complexity is reduced. Finally, the numerical experiments for Weeks. strip line model are presented to compare uniform grids method with the proposed method. The exper-i mental result shows that the calculating speed can be improved by several times or even many ten times without increase of memory requirement .
