Abstract:
For the great property differences of the compositive materials, the light composite com- ponent ( ceram ic/ glass fibre reinforced composite/ alum inium alloy) is very difficult to bore. In view of the differences inmaterial property and fracturemode, themechanism of using diamond po-l ish to bore in component is studied, and a special diamond core boring bit is developed. The tech- nological equipment can exert compressive pre-stress on drilling area and surrounding materia.l The test indicates that the hole is unruffled and that the delam ination, napping and breakup can be avo-i ded. The processing technique is of low cos,t high efficiency, and excellent quality.
