Abstract:
In order to investigate the influence on impact resistance of stee-l fiber reinforced con- crete, numerical simulations are performed for cylinders against concrete slabs by using ANSYS/ LDYNA3D code. These cylinders are m ade of fiber reinforced concrete w ith different fiber content and different fiber L /D. A dam agematerialmodel is used in the simulations. Relationship between fragm ent volume of concrete slab and impact energy of cylinders is analyzed under different initial velocities. The simulation results are compared w ith those from experiments. It shows that the fiber reinforced concrete w ith higher fiber content and bigger fiber L /D behaves better against impac.t It is proved that the damage materialmodel is suitable for such kind of simulations.
