Abstract:
In order to mi prove the scale-inhibiting performance o f the polyaspart ic acid (PASP), a copo lymer of aspa itic ac id and glutam ic acid ( PAG) is obtained by copolymerizat ion. The sca le-inhibiting propert ies of PAG to calc ium sulphate and calcium carbonate are respectively studied w ith themethod in SY /T5673-93 under different conditions. Morever, the differences of sca le- inhib iting property between PAG, market PASP and the comb inations of phosphorus-containing inh ibitors ( EDTMPS, ATMP) w ere compared. Results show that scale-inh ibiting property of PAG is close to that of the comb inations of phosphorus-contain ing inhib itors, and preferable to that ofmarket PASP. PAG is better than PASP in w ater treatment system w ith high calcium concentration, high temperature, high pH value and long resident tmi e in pipe line.
