Abstract:
The effects of ultrasound irrad iation on SAPO-34 molecular sieve synthesis are investigated for improving its catalyt ic performance inMTO (M ethano l to o lefin) . The molecular sieve samp les are characterized w ith XRD, SEM, FT-IR, and DTG techniques. XRD results show that the crysta llization rate and the crystallinity of SAPO-34 increase apparently after u ltrasound irrad iation. SEM resu lts show that the crysta l size becom es sm aller and the size d istribution becomes narrow er a-f ter u ltrasound irradiation. U ltrason ic-w ave treatment is effective in improv ing the thermal stab ility o f SAPO-34molecular sieve. MTO ca talyt ic reaction show s that the SAPO-34mo lecular sieve of smaller crysta l size has h igher selectiv ity to ethy lene and propy lene.
