Abstract:
A type of pyrotechnical battery is developed to meet the requirements of a subminiature and fast-activated reservoir battery which is applied to shell fuze.This battery is activated by the pyrotechnical contained in the electrodes.Once the ignition impulse works,the pyrotechnical takes fire immediately and melts the electrolyte.The rest of pyrotechnicals are served as anode and cathode.The battery begins to discharge.Electrical property tests taken on the sample cells indicate that the performance of the pyrotechnical battery is improved much compared with common fuze batteries.Such property parameters contain small volume,short activation time and high energy density.Once the design is finalized,pyrotechnical battery is a perfect power source of shell fuze.
