Abstract:
In order to improve the projectile shooting quality,two kinds of projectiles with the same body and different fusehead configurations are simulated numerically by applying the LU implicit difference scheme in solving the generalized three-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations.The aerodynamic coefficients and the aerodynamic character differences of projectiles are obtained while Mach number varies from 0.7 to 3.0,and the cause is analyzed.The calculation results indicate that the influence of fusehead configuration and profile on its projectile aerodynamic characters should be adequately considered in the design process.The generatrix with inflexion should be avoided.
